During the period from 2014 to 2017, the Yamazaki Limited Edition releases became highly sought-after among Japanese whisky enthusiasts. These annual releases garnered attention due to their limited quantities and inclusion of precious, well-aged Yamazaki whisky including maturation in Mizunara Oak Casks, making them highly regarded in terms of quality, appearance, and collectability.

However, as the whisky shortage crisis emerged, these remarkable expressions took a backseat, making room for a series of non-age statement (NAS) whiskies like the Essence of Suntory Volumes 3 and 4, as well as the recent Yamazaki Cask Finish releases, which were considered less premium in comparison. Fortunately, in 2021, Suntory revived the series by reintroducing the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2021, much to the delight of whisky enthusiasts longing for the good old days. This was followed by the immensely popular Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022. Now, Suntory is keeping the momentum going with the release of the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2023.

This particular edition offers a delightful fruity and spicy flavor profile that entices both the nose and the palate, leaving you eager for another sip. Anticipate delightful aromas of pineapple, orange peels, and subtle nutmeg. On the palate, you'll experience sweet honey, creamy coconut, and delicate hints of blueberry. The remarkable finish adds a stylish conclusion with notes of vanilla, ginger, and a gentle hint of smoke. It truly offers a complete whisky experience.

Given the limited availability of the initial release, stocks are not expected to last for long. Therefore, it is advisable to act promptly to secure a bottle while you still can.
